Meet Our Doctor
Dr. Scott Fausel grew up in the suburbs of New York City, and had a childhood filled with pets of all kinds—dogs, guinea pigs, lizards, gerbils, snakes, and more. Dr. Fausel’s love for all animals guided him naturally to the profession of veterinary medicine.
Dr. Fausel attended Brown University, where he graduated with a Sc.B. with high honors in Biology and Medicine. He relocated to Philadelphia in order to attend veterinary school at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. During that time, he also pursued graduate studies in Pharmacology at the Medical School.
After graduation, Dr. Fausel joined a general practice in Devon, PA where he served pet families on the Main Line of Philadelphia for the next eight years. He later moved to an emergency and specialty hospital in Newark, DE, where he served as Medical Director and practiced emergency medicine, ultrasound, and cardiology. Life later called Dr. Fausel to Berks County in 2010, and he has made his home here since, serving as Medical Director of Berks Animal Emergency & Referral Center. He was also the Medical Director of Larkin Veterinary Center.
